Clear and Stable Weather Ahead for Delhi-NCR
While southern India braces for intense monsoon showers, Delhi-NCR is expected to experience clear skies and stable weather over the next few days. The forecast suggests no rainfall between October 17 and October 20, offering residents a stretch of dry and comfortable weather.
Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 31°C and 34°C, while nighttime lows will stay around 18°C to 20°C — slightly above seasonal averages.
On Friday, the national capital is expected to see mainly clear skies with northwesterly winds blowing at up to 10 kmph, becoming calmer in the evening.
Mist, Fog, and Haze Expected During Morning Hours
From October 18 onwards, residents of Delhi may wake up to mist or light haze in the mornings, followed by sunny and clear conditions later in the day.
By October 19 and 20, shallow fog and smog could appear in many parts of the city during the early hours but will likely clear by noon. Winds will change direction through the day, starting from the northeast or southwest in the morning and moving northward by afternoon.
IMD Issues Advisory for Southern States
The IMD has urged residents in rain-affected regions of southern India to stay alert for possible waterlogging, flash floods, and transport disruptions, especially in areas prone to heavy downpours. People are advised to monitor local weather updates and follow official advisories.
